8 x 8
cotton fabric, cotton and rayon thread, metal brads
Machine sewn, hand and machine quilted
Detail of Ercoupe wing. I like to experiment with interesting embellishments in my art quilts, and the many varieties of brads on the craft market were fun to explore. The silver brads are made to look like screw heads, and the white brads are TINY.
I made a three-dimensional flap which is held in place with the screw-head brads. This quilt has a combination of machine and hand quilting.
Stay tuned on the blog. I’ll be highlighting one of my aviation quilts each day for the month of April.
All quilts are for sale. Contact me for sales information.
If you can’t attend my exhibition in person, I do have catalogs for sale on amazon.
