I prefer to visit groups within a three hour drive of Bowie, Maryland. I will consider overnight trips if accommodation is provided by your group. I charge $300 per trunk show or lecture and $500 per workshop, plus the Federal rate for mileage.
NEW! Quilts Inspired by College Park Aviation Museum-My first solo show consisted of 30 art quilts inspired by displays at the College Park Aviation Museum in College Park, MD. This airport is known as “The Field of Firsts” and is the oldest continuously operating airport in the world. Lecture includes the history of this fascinating airport and museum. Poison Bottle Quilt– Introduction to the quilt I designed, and the history of the featured poison bottles. Lecture only, with variations of the Poison Bottle Quilt and many unique ideas for embellishment.
Make the Poison Bottle Quilt-Full Day Workshop (six hours) in which I teach basic fusible applique techniques and various embellishment techniques used in my Poison Bottle Quilt. Embellishments include metal brads, Tsukineko fabric markers, Derwent Inktense Pencils and Blocks, Freezer paper stencils and easy beading. A table runner and a wall hanging are also available as six-hour workshop projects.

How to Make your Quilt Labels More Interesting-trunk show and lecture. Put as much thought into designing your label as you do your quilt top, borders, and binding. I will share creative ideas, surprising materials, and some time-saving shortcuts.
The Kung Fu of Quilting lecture/slide show. What the heck does kung fu have to do with quilting? I can help you understand the true meaning of “kung fu” and demonstrate that you probably already know some kung fu.
Using Magnets and Metal Brads on a Quilt-trunk show and lecture. I share several of my quilts in which I use metal brads and magnets. I demonstrate how and why they are used, and share tips on proper installation.
