Metal and Wood
16 x 12
cotton fabric, cotton and rayon thread, fabric paint
Machine sewn and quilted
This is my attempt at portraying the textures of metal and wood in the medium of fabric.
I used the same inspiration photo as Light and Shadow. The smaller format and the metal texture made this one more challenging to me.
This quilt is heavily machine quilted. The nuts and bolts are printed with white paint on black fabric, using one of my kids’ old building toys, and appliqued.
Stay tuned on the blog. I’ll be highlighting one of my aviation quilts each day for the month of April.
All quilts are for sale. Contact me for sales information.
If you can’t attend my exhibition in person, I do have catalogs for sale on amazon.
